Review
Book four of the series did not disappoint. The war ramps up, putting everyone in danger’s way far beyond what they had faced already. The things left unfinished and in question at the end of book three are answered with some intriguing and fun twists. Both sides have their schemes and plans, but the crew gains some great insights about the enemy. Will it be enough?
I didn’t want to put this down. There’s a lot going on, but it was easy to follow and I could pick up on what I remembered from the first three books, despite having to wait for this one. This is definitely an epic tale worth reading and doesn’t feel like a slog like some longer series I have read.
The ending is a cliffhanger for the final book in the series. I would like it sooner than later, but I rather have Jenelle take the time to make sure the finale doesn’t feel rushed and brings the story to the resounding climatic ending it deserves.
